This motor is specifically designed to be used with air compressors to meet start-up load/torque specifications. This motor can rotate in either direction. This Baldor electric motor spins at 1770 RPM. It can replace a higher RPM motor; however, you will have to use a larger pulley to make the RPMs match.?This is a multi-voltage motor and can run at 208, 230, or 460 volts.
